POP UP _ portrait photography

POP UP | portrait photography

  • Tue 6 Oct 11:00 - 15:00
  • Central hall HL15
  • x Diversity & Inclusion Network

Everyone loves a good profile pic. It helps you showcase your look and personality and make a great first impression. From grainy, pixelated, and creatively abstract WhatsApp photos to polished professional LinkedIn headshots, you want a portrait that suits the platform. During this Pop Up, you’ll have the opportunity to get your portrait taken and practice taking portraits yourself.

This Pop Up is organised as part of Diversity Day, when we celebrate differences and highlight the positive impact of diversity. We’ll explore the importance of representation of diverse role models, which is why we’ve invited the talented photographer Bete van Meeuwen. They will share practical tips and tricks for portrait photography using a digital camera, covering both technical and artistic aspects.

Bete will also talk about their journey to becoming a photographer and explain why representation plays such an important role in their work. If you’re interested in learning more about how photography can be used to capture and explore social issues, be sure to stop by.

You don’t have to sign up for Pop Ups, just drop by at HL15 and join!
