The exam period is coming coming up. That means spending long days hunched over your laptop or study books again. To get you through these tough times we thought of a way to help you boost your concentration in style!

Instrumental music is proven to improve your concentration level and make you stay focused for a longer period of time. So we’re inviting talented artists into section C of the HU Library to provide instrumental music while you study. Throughout the day you can enjoy different genres of music. Let’s get you in the zone and make those exams feel like a walk in the park!

To complete the perfect study atmosphere, we will provide free tea, coffee, and snacks. Drop by and be ready to study like you have never before.

Line up

12:00 – 14:00 Reginald Somai (classical piano)

14:45 – 17:00 Säm Wilder (pop, soul, jazz)

About the artists

Reginald Somai
Reginald Somai is a self-taught musician from Rotterdam who discovered his love for the piano when he had to abandon his dream of becoming a professional football player. By learning how to convert his feelings to sounds his music became a source of healing for him. With his music he wants to bring his audience in closer contact with themselves. Expect a relaxing mix of melancholic tones.

Säm Wilder
Säm Wilder is a versatile artist who refuses to be categorized, seeking instead to leave a lasting impression with authentic and relatable stories. Through his music, he expresses powerful emotions, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in his personal journey of self-discovery. Usually Sam is known for his soulful voice, but for Study Sounds he has created a unique and instrumental set with his band, comprised of talented Dutch musicians. Expect a relaxed blend of pop, soul and jazz.
