The end of the year is near, time to gather and quiz it up! Are you celebrating Oud en Nieuw in The Netherlands, or gearing up to celebrate Kwanzaa, Hogmanay, or Lunar New Year?

Whether you will be watching a ball drop, walking around with an empty suitcase, or eating twelve grapes as the clock strikes midnight–celebrating the new year is filled with traditions. Maybe you’re diving into icy waters to kick off 2025 with a splash, or rock colorful underwear to set the vibe for the next twelve months?

So many cultures at HU, so many traditions. But who’s got what it takes to win the title of Winter Quiz Champion? Get ready to team up (or come solo–we’ll match you) and put your knowledge to the test! You get to battle for the win in 3 different rounds: winter traditions, nostalgia and pop culture. Bonus: you’ll get to know some fun new people along the way, and get inspiration for local activities to keep yourself entertained if you stay in the Netherlands during the winter break.

And of course… there are some great prizes to win, that are guaranteed to help you get through the Dutch winter!
