Dry January | 0.0% Liquid lunch party

No alcohol for a whole month, that’s the challenge during Dry January. But what happens after? When you wake up from hibernation and want to shake off those January blues. Podium puts a festive end to Dry January with a 0.0% liquid lunch party. A party without alcohol, will it be just as fun? Come try it out!

To get you in the mood we asked DJ Sander Hoogendoorn, known from radio stations like 3FM and  Radio Veronica, to play us the best tunes! In 2023, Sander took part in Dry January and decided to extend his alcohol-free period to observe its effects on his body. Now, he shares tips and inspiration for an alcohol-free lifestyle and works as an Alcohol-Free DJ. Curious if Sander will ever drink again? You can ask him yourself! He’s not just here to spin tracks; he’ll also address all your questions about alcohol use during the Q&A. If you have more questions about your own alcohol-related habits, students from the HU Student Support Centre and volunteers from the LOS project will be present at this event to assist you further.

Need a break from dancing? Sink your teeth into a sandwich, slurp up a soup, or pedal for your own mocktail on the juice bike! There will be an obstacle course with alcohol goggles, we’ll present you with the most amusing ‘drinking dilemmas’, and you can take fun photos with props in the photobooth. Your Tuesday afternoon has never been so lively!
