Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and prepare delicious dishes while tackling food waste? Join our latest edition of Food for Talk, where creative chef Saskia Beertsen teaches you how to easily turn your unexpected ingredients into sustainable global cuisine.
Improve your culinary skills, discover international recipes, and meet like-minded cooking and food enthusiasts during this workshop and picnic. Together with chef Saskia, we’ll prepare a zero waste lunch. She’ll teach you to cook with forgotten vegetables, new herbs, and ingredients that are no longer sold. Together, we’ll create a complete picnic menu, including soup, bread quiches, vegetable or fruit pancakes, smoothie bowls, and a variety of delicious dips and spreads. Saskia will share her secret herb tricks to flavor the dishes with influences from various cuisines. Don’t worry, all dishes are vegetarian, and some are vegan, so there’s something for everyone!
We’ll settle with our picnic blankets around the Denver House, the new home of HU Green Office. If you prefer licking the pan clean, the second hour is perfect for you! Sign up for the 2nd hour as a taste tester and enjoy all the deliciousness we’ve prepared.
