Cutting, cooking, blending and done! Very few dishes are so simple and yet so delicious as soup. For many it’s the perfect comfort food now that the dark and cold month are starting. And even beter, you can eat soup as a lunch, an appetiser and a main course. Does this count for other parts of the world as well? We’ll find out during this winter edition of Food for Talk!
Want to improve your culinary skills and learn to make international recipes? Join our cooking workshop! Under the watchful eye of fellow students who know their way around the kitchen you’ll try your hand at making different soups from around the world. You’ll be guided through the process step by step and work together with fellow students. We’ll take care of all the equipment and ingredients so you don’t need to bring anything. All the ingredients will be in season and sourced locally. All soups will be either vegetarian or vegan.
If you want to make it even easier for yourself you can also show up once the hard work has already been done! Just sign up for the second hour to taste all the delicious results

About Food for Talk
Food for Talk is a series of meetups, organised in collaboration with HU HOME and Green Office HU. These meetings revolve around cooking and food from all corners of the world. By exchanging experiences, cooking tips, and recipes you can connect with other HU-students.

The kitchen is wheel chair accessible, so is the nearby toilet. This event is a Language No Problem event so you’re welcome to come, no matter what language you speak. If you have any worries or needs that might prevent you from participating in this activity, please let us know by sending a message to podium@hu.nl and we will try to accommodate as best as we can.
