The exam period is coming coming up. That means spending long days hunched over your laptop or study books again. To get you through these tough times we thought of a way to help you boost your concentration in style!
Instrumental music is proven to improve your concentration level and make you stay focused for a longer period of time. So we’re inviting local artists into section C of the HU Library to provide instrumental music while you study. Throughout the day you can enjoy performances from three artists playing different genres of music. Let’s get you in the zone and make those exams feel like a walk in the park!
To complete the perfect study atmosphere, we will provide free tea, coffee, and snacks. Drop by and be ready to study like you have never before.

About the artists
Boy Pilgrim
Tom Groenendaal is a curious individual with varying interests, a quality that shines through in his music. Under the name Boy Pilgrim, he unites genres and moods, seamlessly transitioning from soft Americana and psychedelic rock to indie and folk, all the way to more experimental sonic landscapes while never losing sight of the pop sensibility that drew him to making music in the first place. Let yourself be carried away by the sometimes bombastic, often intimate but always truthful musical stories of Boy Pilgrim that touch upon both everyday heartbreak and the very questioning of reality.
Radio Trapani
Radio Trapani is the alter ego of Dario Trapani. He is an Amsterdam-based producer, guitarist and singer songwriter who was born and raised in Italy. After a decade spent looking into jazz and improvised music, he started singing, writing and recording pop songs and switched his career’s focus towards being an indie artist. At Study Sounds he will present a brand new minimalistic ambient set of background music with synthesizer, electric bass and guitar, in collaboration with his musical partner Alessandro Mazzieri.
Paul & Pavlina
Paul is a modular synth player who aims to create adventurous electronic music. Pavlina is a classically trained violinist who aims to expand the sounds of her violin and her voice through digital technologies. Together, they are on an adventurous mission to bring together the worlds of classical music and electronic music. The result is both unexpected and unpredictable.
